Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt nonfat or 2%
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter natural or almond butter
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 0.5 cup mixed berries fresh or frozen and thawed/patted dry
  • 2 tbsp granola low-sugar
  • 1 tbsp sliced almonds
  • 1 tsp honey optional or maple syrup

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing or serving bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 spoon for stirring
  • 1 Small mason jars or airtight containers for meal prep only

Method

  1. 1: Spoon the Greek yogurt into a bowl or wide jar. After that, stir in the cinnamon until you no longer see streaks - about 15 seconds of stirring.
  2. 2: Fold in the peanut butter in broad strokes, leaving a few visible ribbons rather than mixing it in completely.
  3. 3: Sprinkle the chia seeds evenly over the surface and let the bowl sit for 2-3 minutes while you get your toppings ready.
  4. 4: Now, scatter the berries over the top without stirring them in.
  5. 5: Top with the granola and sliced almonds only when you're ready to eat, not a moment before.
  6. 6: Lastly, drizzle with honey or maple syrup if using, give the bowl one light stir and serve immediately.

Notes

Steps 1-3 can be done the night before and refrigerated. Add steps 4-6 fresh in the morning; it adds under a minute to your prep time and keeps the texture right.
Store components separately for meal prep: the yogurt-chia-peanut butter mixture keeps up to 4 days refrigerated, berries stay best for 3-4 days and granola and almonds hold their crunch indefinitely if kept dry; combine everything only at serving time.
